Born in London, England but raised in Dublin, Ireland, Thomas Hefferon grew up with a fascination of storytelling and the moving picture. A self taught filmmaker, his first short film “The Confession” screened at over 40 International Film Festivals, had a national cinema release in Ireland, and aired on dozens of TV stations across the world. It garnered over a million hits on YouTube, where it played in the prestigious Screening Room.

Since then he has made three more short films (The Pool, Switch, The Heist), all of which were funded by the Irish Film Board, and combined his short films have now played at over 100 major international film festivals including the Tribeca Film Festival, Palm Springs Int’l Film Festival, Aspen and many others, winning a number of awards along the way.

He recently moved into directing TV Commercials after being nominated in the “Best New Director” category at the Kinsale Shark Awards, one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious advertising awards.
